Give The Gift Of Organization

Gift-giving season is upon us once again. As a professional organizer, I have to admit that gift-buying can be challenging for me at times. Like everyone else, I love giving gifts, however, it's not always easy knowing what to buy. We often purchase presents for friends and family, yet never know whether the recipient actually used or liked the item. Think about the gifts you've received over the years; they probably were lovely but some of them may have never been used.

Every year I talk about intentional giving; only gifting things that are needed, usable, and won't turn into clutter. Items such as consumables, experiences (like time spent together), or subscriptions to services of interest to the recipient.

If, however, you are stuck on giving tangible gifts, how about organizing products? They are one of my favorite things to give. Here are a few of my favorites. A word of caution - make sure the person has use for the item.
